AT NLSD, WE CUSTOMIZE OUR DANCE SCHEDULE TO MEET THE UNIQUE NEEDS OF OUR STUDENTS, ​OFFERING OVER 50 CLASSES WEEKLY.

OUR EXPERIENCED STAFF METICULOUSLY ASSESSES EACH DANCER'S SKILL LEVEL TO ENSURE
PROPER CLASS PLACEMENT.

THIS PERSONALIZED APPROACH ALLOWS US TO DELIVER TAILORED INSTRUCTION, GUARANTEEING EACH DANCER RECEIVES THE BEST POSSIBLE DANCE EDUCATION.
WEEKDAY CLASSES TYPICALLY RUN FROM 4:30-8:30PM   
​SATURDAY CLASSES 10:00 - 12:00PM

Q: I would like to register but I don't see a form anywhere?
A: Registration forms will be posted August 1st, 2025!
Q: What do classes cost?

A:​ ​CHILD - $11     45 MINUTE - ONE HOUR CLASS 
     ADULT - $12    ONE HOUR CLASS 
  • Weekly payments may be made prior to each class.
  • Monthly payments must be made by the first week of each month.​
Q: Where do I find information on dress code, payments, cancellations, calendar etc.?
A: Please be sure to click the "STUDIO POLICIES" AND "DRESS CODE" buttons above. 
Q: How long does the season last?

A: Our regular season begins at the end of September through May, concluding with our end-of-year recitals in June.
We typically follow local schools' extended vacations.

Company Classes run from March - May. They too participate in our end-of-year recitals.
Q: Can I request to be in the same class as a relative, friend etc.?

A: Yes, absolutely! The more information you write on your registration sheet, the better.
Please note: NLSD staff members must account for a student's age and experience when placing them in a class. Please trust their knowledge with this process.
Q: How much do recital costumes cost?
A: Costumes range in price from $65 - $79
Q: How many recitals are there?
A: NLSD hosts the largest dance event in the North Country! There are five shows over four days in the month of June. Every dancer performs in at least one show.
Q: My child would like to join the Crown Jewels competition team. Where can I find information on this team?

Q: ​Do you offer adult classes?

A: We offer an extensive adult program. Check out our adult page by clicking below.
Q: ​When can I register for Company Classes? (Celtic Fusion, Ballroom, Rhythmic Dance, Pint-Sized Pom, Musical Theatre)
A: Company class registration begins December 1st.  Classes run March - May. Click below for more information.
Q: I would like to participate in a class with my toddler. Do you have anything for
children 18 mo. - 2 years old?
A: Yes, we have an ITTY BITTIES program. Click button below for more information.
Q: My child would like to have their birthday party at your studio.
A: We offer several birthday party options! Click below for more information.
Q: Do you offer adaptive dance classes for special needs children?

A: Unfortunately, we do not at this time. Adaptive dance classes require adaptive dance instructors holding a specialized degree. We would be happy to direct you to dance studios that do.
