Susan Gerace Mossey Owner/Director/Instructor
Born and raised in Plattsburgh NY, Susan began her dance career at the age of two. She studied tap, ballet, jazz and gymnastics for fifteen years. After graduating high school, Susan attended Manhattan University receiving a bachelor's degree in both English and Fine Arts. Susan studied for five years at the Broadway Dance Center in New York City as well as the Bronx Dance Theatre. In 1995, she joined her mother Nancy's dance studio, teaching preschool, tap, ballet, jazz & gymnastics, as well as introducing the North Country to it's first hip-hop dance lessons. In 2005, Susan expanded NLSD by opening a second studio on 90 Sharron Avenue in the Ameri-Can North Sports Center. Continuous growth allowed Susan to expand once again with a new facility on 34 Riley Avenue in Plattsburgh, which opened Fall of 2012. In 2018 the overwhelming success of Susan's dance programs allowed for further expansion. The 34 Riley Avenue location was then transformed into a beautiful 4,200 sq. ft. dance facility housing two studios! Susan's "cutting edge" choreography continues to make her dance classes the most sought after in the area. Susan's competition teams have won top honors at both Regional and National levels.
